No one holds command over me.
The Seventh Sorrow hurls you into a world where darkness reigns supreme and is worshiped as a godly figure. Introduce yourself to a time period when the "Blood Races" -among many others- wield power from a jewel. These jewels are possessed by only the "Blood Races" - also the only ones capable of magic/craft in general. A jewel's power ranges according to color from white to black, the darker the jewel, the more powerful it is. Welcome to a world where not just your money and birth defines your social status, but your caste and the jewel(s) you were gifted with by Darkness are other factors that play into the complex social ranking of Vysathe.
No man. No god. No prince.
Queens are the rightful ruler and healers of the land. In this society, men seek to serve their female counterparts. A male ruler is otherwise very uncommon and rarely accepted by the people. The population is not segregated according to race, but by their opinion. The Blood are beginning to question what they've accepted for so many years.
What is a claim of age for ones who are immortal?
Darkliona is not what it used to be. It has been nearly four hundred years since the six territories converged under the rule of one to be now known as Vysathe. The ruler then is not the same Queen, but the descendant of. His name is Grim Revlani, rising Warlord Prince of Vysathe and bastard son of the previous Queen who wore The Black, Satine Revlani. He carries a Sapphire birthright and only the hopes of receiving as high as Ebon-Gray.
Being a new appointed leader of Vysathe, he had a lot to live up to. A struggle is expect, as Warlord Prince of Vysathe steps up to rule in a world where Queens were the one who ruled. However, he was the only heir known to exist. At this point, it would seem that convincing the people of Vysathe to take him seriously was not the only feat he would have to overcome.
What is a claim of power for ones who defy death?
While the taint continues to close in on the City of Vysathe, another civilization is forming. Far past the mountains which protect the City of Vysathe and in the depths of the Red-Vine Jungle, a clan has been forming and a city is slowly being built from the ruins of a past ruling territory. The clan is led by Grim's half sister, Hecate, who was originally the on expected to take place as Queen of Vysathe. However, she is believed to be dead, leaving Grim as the only available heir to the throne. She is the leader of the Red-Vine village, a Healer Queen that carries a Red jewel, further known as Princess Via.
Princess Via has been working to purge the land of its taint. The village and uprising city have remained under her protection from the taint upon her arrival. They have been able to keep their existence unknown but suspicious speculations are growing withing the City of Vysathe. With rumors of another civilization existing within the jungle that is thought to be reigned by taint, many are beginning to believe the attacks on the city come from this unknown civilization.
Call your damnable hunt.
The Seventh Sorrow is an rpg with a dark fantasy theme based in a complex world that is very remenicent of medieval themes. The idea originated from a series of books called the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. TSS is loosely based off the general idea but not nearly as much to require a person to have read the books because all information needed is provided for you on our website and forum. We welcome anyone and everyone with a passion for writing.
We shall see who I drag screaming to darkness with me.
