-K.Y.O.U.R.A.N- こ れ は 私 の 王 国 で あ り 、 私 の 王 で あ る 。 The fae was breathing heavily as she waddled to a large rock, where she had decided to give birth a few days earlier. She was in pain, and obviously had waited a little too long to realize that she was going to be a mother. Kyouran lay down on her side by the rock, her breathing now sharp and painful. The task beforehand had seemed like a piece of cake now compared to the birthing stage. As she lay there, she felt a kick and then an incredible pain, and then out came the cub. He was black with his dad's spots and the body of a lion, much like his mother. He let out a little squeal and then moved towards Kyouran to suckle. The fae wasn't sure if she was going to have more, so she settled down a little. Too soon. Next came another male, and this one was a much lighter color like his father. Basically, he was the spitting image of Morgoth except for distinctive black paws and black clouded leopard spots. They both had lion bodies but they looked more like leopards by far. The second-born wriggled towards Kyouran and then began suckling beside his brother. Now it was safe to assume she had no more children coming. She wondered what Morgoth would think, it was obvious he had wanted heirs. Two strong sons built for battle would probably suit his needs better, but they definitely did need females. She was the only one at the moment. With two new heirs, Retuna was destined to survive.

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls Kyouran had left so suddenly, they were about to start their plans for the downfall of Ashira and the lights. Her belly had swelled so much since the day they had bred, it was apparent to him with the experience he had that there would be more than one. Maybe, he should have told her...but it should have been a surprise. Surprises were good. Life's unexpected.
What was keeping her? Morgoth paced among the temple, worry flashing in his mind. It was unlike him to worry. He must have grown close to this fae, seeing as how he was worried for her health. Black optics turned crimson, once more, and he finally gave up his pacing and went to find her.
Besides, he wanted to see the newborns. Ash dipped pads carried his bulk around the temple, looking for the pregnant leopard. She had not told him where she would birth, I guess he had to do it the hard way. Lifting his maw to the skies, he checked the air for her scent. Following the vivid trail of Kyouran and the scent of pain and new life, he finally found her form, slumped on the ground, nursing two little form.
Smile parted on his lips. Beautiful strong ones. They were split apart in color, but Morgoth naturally took to the one that looked like him. The other one, looking more like Kyouran, was just as nice. They were built like their mother. Perfect. Very agile and battle ready. Absolutely stunning addition to the Retuna clan.
"Beautiful ones. You should be proud."

Kyouran heard Morgoth's light footsteps. She let out a small groan. "I am," She purred after thinking a while. "They sure know how to suck the energy out of me." She kept her eyes closed, feeling too exhausted to look. After a little while longer, she opened her eyes to study her firstborn. "What should they be called?" Kyouran asked, looking at their tiny bodies. It was hard to believe that these little scraps would turn into fullgrown deathbringers, but it was always hard to tell at first. The darker one nipped a little too hard and she let out a small squeak of pain before holding it back. How would she live with them? Both had unnatural blue eyes, but that was to be expected. The scraps would soon get their true eye colors.

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls
Morgoth sat down closer to her and the cubs, gazing at them with father's pride. Ah yes, they'd bring death and destruction. Just wait. They have have looked like little scaps, but someday both would be feared leaders, like their father before them. Ah, they would get the good life, the life without the intricate planning and overthrowing of the lights, or would the lights start another rebellion? That would make it interesting for the little ones.
Of course, planning was the best part. Combat smarts was what he excelled in. It was the brains of the operation. Crimson eyes looked back to Kyouran. Exhuastion. It was only what came of birth. He chuckled. They'd be a handful, all right, she as well as him would be constantly watching them as they grew. After a few seasons, they would be mature enough to start training. Training done by himself and their mother, how good could it get?
Harks pricked forward as the fae awakened.
"I say..."
Morgoth paused for a moment, running through lists of names in his head. "The first one...Ryoushi? And the one that looks most like me...Kieron."[/blockquote]

Kyouran nodded at the listed names. They sounded fine to her, and they seemed to match the young ones. "Then it's settled, the two princes are to be named Ryoushi and Kieron." The fae looked at them with her dark emerald eyes. They had stopped getting darker and had settled at this hue. They suckled a bit longer before curling up to fall asleep. It was amazing that such innocent little cubs could become rulers as well. She had been that way, but what about Morgoth? Had he once been "normal" ? Now that the family was expanded, they now had a King, Queen, and two young Princes. That was a nice royal family, no? They would grow to be fine warlords, taught by their cunning parents. She let a sigh escape from her mouth and then she drifted into sleep with the cubs in dreamland beside her.
