The white she-leapord padded along looking for the ruler of this territory. She shook her fur subconciously, it was an old habit of hers that she couldn't get rid of. Her ears swiveled at every sound and her body was always tense like she expected to be attacked at any moment. The white leapord continued to pad on looking for the Ruler.

the world was a twisted place.
It wore a mask, hiding its true face. The world was a different place, a place that many leopards had never seen before. It was bitter and cruel. Ashira had not wanted to see the real world, but she didn't have a choice. Her past had revealed what she didn't want to know, and now there was no escaping it. There was no relief. She had to live with the knowledge of the true face of the world. 'Cause no one, nothing, is perfect.
Sighing, she walked to a pool of clear water inside the cavern. She slowly lapped up the liquid, lost deep within her troubling thoughts. She knew she should pay more attention to reality, but it was quite hard, being the leopard that she was. Her past haunted her, around every corner and every turn. The dagger dangling from a string around her neck was a grim reminder of the memories that caused her so much pain. She hated herself. She hated the world. Who said she was a light one? Her heart? Her attitude? The truth was, he had a much darker past and present, as well as future. But, somehow, she was pure.
The she-leopard was still pure after all these years of pain and suffering. After all these years of hatred. She took everyone in. She gave everyone the love they needed, for no cost or expense. That was her nature, and she intended to keep it that way. She finished her refreshing drink, shaking her creamy skull.
The scent of another floated into her nares. Hmm...a friend? Or a foe? One could never be too sure. But, it was her duty to greet all those who entered the fortress. She padded forward, claws clinking against the stone floor. She traveled until the leopard came in view. White? That was interesting. She hadn't seen that hue for ages. Quickening her pace she approached the she-leopard, halting in front of her.
"Greetings. Call me Ashira."

Angel jumped a bit at the sound of another voice. She turned around to see Ashira. Angel nodded her head in greeting and said, "Nice to meet you Ashira. You can call me Angel." She angain shook her fur but this time it was out of nervousness.

ASHiRA
she got lost in thought quite easily
And there she went again, hiding in her ponderings and musings. It was quite annoying, after a while. Being in her own reality, and hiding from the world. It seemed weak. It seemed helpless. It was. Was she weak? Was she helpless? The questions raced through her mind. This wasn't what she wanted, to be a leader. She was nothing special, right? She was simply a leopard that wanted to forget her past forever and live a so much better life. But no. It kept coming back. It kept coming back to haunt her. And now she had to live her nightmare.
Morgoth was coming. She knew it. Every instinct she had told her he was here, on the islands. He was coming to destroy all resistance. She would relive her nightmare. But this time, she would be the one to perish. Ashira needed to do something. Now. Before it was too late. She needed to establish this rebellion and make a stand. She couldn't be weak. She couldn't be cowardly.
It was her time to shine.
But, she shrunk down again. She told herself again that she didn't want this. Too bad, it's you life now. Deal with it. She told herself sharply. It was her life now - that was true. She was pulled into this swirling pit of hell without a choice. It was involuntary. She was whisked away into a life of drama and danger, while all she wanted was peace.
Couldn't this whole 'destiny' thing just give it a rest? Just once? No? Fine. She just had to live through it until she died fighting or something like that. Everyone knew Morgoth would not rest until her body went limp and cold. He was out to kill two birds with one stone; kill a lifetime embarrassment and crush the rebellion. Now, this wasn't a love story.
Well, maybe just a tad. But it wasn't the kind of love that was given to a stranger. No, it was her family. Her mother. She was ripped away from her on the cruel, stormy day. This dagger was a reminder of it, and the wretched piece of crystal never let her forget it.
So she was stuck with it - for life. This was quite a disappointing fact. You know how in those stories the hero wants to forget about their past and start a new life? The she-leopard wished upon that same star that maybe, just maybe, she could live again, but everything was dragging her heart down.
She did have a love. She did have everything he could want. Then why was she feeling like this? It was because she knew that her life would soon be over. She knew it. And that knowledge, that simple vision, made life pointless. There was no escaping her death. It would come the day that her enemy decided to attack. But, first he had to find it.
But, he already knew. She could feel it.
Sighing, she shook her cranium sadly, a single tear dropping from her sapphire eyes. Be strong, Ashira, be strong. There's someone standing in front of you. Oh great, she had forgotten. Instantly awake, she stepped forward. She remembered the leopards words, for her auds seemed to pick it up simultaneously while she was thinking.
"What is your business here?"
She asked, trying not to see terse and unwelcoming. She needed people to join what would soon be called the rebellion. Morgoth's clan was growing. Cascadia needed leopards.
[ooc - like the new colors?]

(its ok ) Angel looked at the leapord before, curious as to why a tear fell down her face. But with the way the leapord returned her attention to her, it was obvious that she did not want to talk about it. "I was looking for the ruler of this place. I heard that she was starting a rebellion against the evil in the land and I wanted to help." Angel paused as she looked at Ashira with curious icy blue eyes. "Would you happen to be the ruler of this place?"

ASHiRA
indeed i would be.
And she came to a realization. All of this was real. She was a leader of the rebellion. She was wanted by Morgoth and his whole crew. She was going to die. And she was going to lead these poor leopards to their deaths. But...what would happen if they won? What would happen if they crushed the evil clan and came out victorious? Then she would either be dead - from trying so hard in battle - or alive and a hero. No, She would give her life, and kill Morgoth. That would be the outcome of this mess.
She sighed closing her eyes softly and drying her eyes of the tears. She looked up, her body strengthening. Nodding quietly , Ashira stepped forward. "I am. Now, Angel, you are here to join, are you not?" She said softly, knowing that the leopard had seen her tears. C'mon Ashira, be strong. You need numbers to win. You can't do this alone.

Angel saw the change come over Ashira, and she imediatly accepted her as leader. Angel nodded her head in reply to Ashira's question. 'Yes i am. I would be honored to help you." she said, dipping her head a bit. Angel realized that they might not come out of the rebellion alive, but that did not bother her much, she didn't have much to lose.....at least... not yet.
