-K.Y.O.U.R.A.N- 私は火及び破壊を愛する。 A sleek, powerfully built female stalked across the island. Lifting a paw, she noticed greenery coming back. Oh how she wished to have been the Leopard to have started the fire. And she would do it again. The lush forests annoyed her, knowing that weaklings were alive in them. If she burned them down, then only the strong could survive and eventually she'd let it grow back. The only problem with burning forests is the killing of useful prey that could be eaten in order to keep her alive. Well, she'd feed on the dead bodies until things started coming back. Holding back her disgust at the image of the waterfall, she noticed a single mouse attempting to hide underneath a charred log. It quivered, looking still shocked from the fire that had probably been a while ago now. With quick, lithe movements, Kyouran shot forwards and pounced, landing near the mouse. She stabbed it with her sharp huntress's claws, then polished it off in a few moments. It was a mere snack, but might as well get it while you can.

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls Black. It was a better color than green. Green was so soft, so nice and pretty. It was for the light leopards. They didn't deserve to live. But of course, what is a kingdom without its slaves and prisoners? No, they wouldn't die just yet. But, it was only natural to kill the ones who resist. Secretly, the evil brute wanted resistance. Battle and killing was his specialty.
The dark one knew there would be a rebellion. The reason was this: Ashira. She lived to kill him. He lived to kill her. He had almost succeeded once, but those fumbling guards let her get away. They payed dearly for that escape. With their lives. But Ashira would be captured and forced to breed. He needed children - how else would he gain an army? There weren't enough leopards that were evil then. After he had gained enough heirs and heiresses, she would be killed.
He licked his lips. He could almost hear her cries of agony already. Pads stealthily moved through the ashen landscape, red-black pools glancing every which way. For now, Ashira was safe. He would looking for the evil and twisted, not a light one. Not yet.
The fae's scent drifted through his nares and he picked up his pace, making no sound. He traveled to the stranger, smirk appearing on his kissers. Soon, her carcass came into view. Ah, a beautiful leopard. Perhaps his queen?
He slowed down, coming as close to the fae as possible without being a known presence. He slyly move forward, pads making no noise.
"Delicious?"

私 の 悪 賢 い 中 心 は あ な た の 会 う 。 Kyouran's dark emerald orbs turned to Morgoth, a rather strong-looking brute. She was interested, but played as if she was not. "If you like food for weaklings," She muttered, licking her lips for the last traces of blood. Her favorite part. "It was a snack." She tossed the bones and then stood there silently, simply looking at him. "And you are..?" She felt like she needed a kill, but this one was a little different. She wanted to play with him, possibly find herself a king. Her black pelt, splotched with bold gray markings, was rather unusual as a never-before-seen mix. Of course, she couldn't care less about her appearance and it was covered in dust from wreckage. She blended in nicely with the charred remains of the Island. Her mother and father had been weak. They had fallen for cute tricks, and had practically worshiped the light. She, of course, would not be like them. Humans were disgusting, and they deserved to die. The wretched things were evil, but in a bad way. Their kind of evil was stupidity, and something that had to be dealt with.

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls He chuckled. Food for weaklings. Was there such a thing? We all needed the same thing to survive, so how could it be divided in weak and strong? Of course, a mouse was an easy catch compared to an island gazelle. So maybe the black one had a point. Only the strong could take down real prey.
Ah, who cared anyway? He brought his bulk closer hers, his pools now red. His pools were so weird that way. One moment black and red the next. They reflected the evil leopard's thoughts. If he was thinking about something, they would turn red. Killing and combat also triggered change in hue.
I flicked my tail back and forth and sized up the leopard. No, she wasn't pure. That was easy to tell at first glance. Her build was different. built for the open plains and speed. Agility was everything on Varaa, the home to his temple. So she would be perfect.
"They cursed me Morgoth."
His sopranos were cold and merciless. Dark. That was his mood. That was his life, his intentions and thoughts. He got straight to the point with his next set of words. No stupid introductions: "How's the weather today? Fine?" Stupid stuff.
"You look like one with a lust for power and greatness. One that wants to crush those weak light ones. Join me and my clan. We will take those lights into slaver and rule the islands."

私 は 激 怒 と 罵 倒 さ れ る 。 Kyouran stared a Morgoth a moment longer. So, that was his name? It wasn't something she had ever heard before, but since these Leopards had been captured from very different places, of course the names would be very different.
"Ah. Then I am donned Kyouran." The fae spoke, feeling that he wasn't light like the others. His eyes had just turned red, was that a sign that he wasn't as weak as the ones she had met quite recently?
Now things were getting a little more interesting. She could sense the darkness spilling out of him, and what more could she ask for? She wanted to say something but felt that it wasn't the best thing to say...
So she remained silent. Until he spoke again, which kind of startled her.
"That sounds exactly like my kind of thing." She said, then thought that she should add something else. "That would be... perfectly evil. I would be honored to join."

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls Her words were as soothing as the cries of the lights would soon be. His ashen auds flicked back and forth, picking up the slightest sound around him. Perfect, perfect. She had accepted. First task - check. All the brute needed was more allies. More leopards equaled more power. Ashira would die, eventually. The humans would die.
The sweet taste of revenge atop the tongue. Nice and tasty. He shifted his bulk and moved two steps toward Kyouran. Deep red eyes were trained on hers, unfaltering and deep with thought.
"So, since you are the first fae to join me..." He paused, trying to word the remains of the sentence. "...how would you like to rule beside me?"
Ugh. That sounded stupid. He was never good with maidens. The dark ones had this unique aura about them. A spicy slice of rebellion or a lust for blood. My optics broke their graze and I looked elsewhere, not wanting to look her straight in the face for her response. Some might have thought this was a cowardly thing to do, but no one could face a cold stare like hers.

私 は あ な た の 女 王 で あ り た い と 思 う 。 Kyouran looked at him as he turned away. Was her gaze really that unnerving? The thought brought her a little pride, but then she realized he had asked a question.
"That would be... pleasurable." She noticed that he seemed to think over her words, and she didn't want to use words that made her sound weak. So it seemed as if she were having trouble, and so was he. Except maybe for different reasons? "I've always hated the weak, light Leopards." Kyouran growled, thinking of them. He seemed to use 'light' as the word to determine 'good' Leopards, while she used 'weak' to explain them.
In fact, they were weak. If you were held back by pity and kindness, then how would you ever become strong?
He was bigger than her, and she felt a little angered at that but females were usually smaller, after all... She had better get used to it. And of course, she probably couldn't have settled for less than ruling beside him. Being a mere warrior in the army would never help her hunger for power.

MORGOTH [CLAIM] t h e .souls It was complete. He had a queen. A beautiful, dark queen. Well, he didn't want to sit around here all day in the ash. It was time to go back. Cold stare returned to the mixed leopard. He turned his bodice around a bit, in the direction of Vaara. At once, he started to walk. His whole carcass swayed in his movement, making him look huge and powerful. Cerebrum was held high with authority, no - pride. He didn't want to offend the queen, now, did he?
"I have a temple on Vaara. The tide should be out, for when I swam across it was high. We can probably walk across."
Dark sounding words escaped his shadowed kissers. He picked up a faster pace, not wanting to miss the opportunity to walk across to the other island. Muscles rippled beneath his dark golden hide. Soon, his ash-dulled form made it to the beaches. He pushed aside burnt wood with a might thrust of a paw. It was getting quite annoying. He was glad he was out of the place.
Luck.
The tide was all the way out, revealing a small strip of sand that broke to the surface. Time to go. He started across the bridge, looking back once or twice o make sure Kyouran was still behind him.

橋 に 交 差 。 Kyouran nodded, thinking of the temple. She had seen it on the other island. So it was his? An impressive find, good for their cause. She followed close behind him, not wanting to seem like she was getting too far behind. Her long tail swayed behind her, more like a Leopard's than a Lion's. It didn't have the little tuft of fur that made them so famous, and it was curved at the end rather than pointed.
She thought of her future. What would happen? Would this new army actually take control of the island like she thought it would, or would something happen? Kyouran didn't know Ashira, she had been separated from the others like Morgoth. Not quite as evil, maybe, but she made the limit and had been in her own cage. She had been a bit of a hit, as Lions and Leopards were thought to not be able to breed. Plus, her markings were far from natural. But she had scared some young children, so she eventually had been with the group to be moved. She liked to call her species "Death Leopards."
