As I padded along I could feel the island returning to life. My mother had left me alone, and I felt helpless. I sighed as I gazed out on the ocean. My multicolored pelt gleamed in the sun shine. My black spots seemed to talk to me. Sense I had no one else to talk to. I blinked my green eyes and yawned. My life was boring, and I still had things to learn. If my mother were here I would be hunting right now with her. But she left me.

I lied down on the sand and watched the waves come in. I kept my head up, just in case someone would jump out at me. I didn’t want that. My ears moved with each sound. A bird sang and the breeze blew the new small trees. I shook my head and sighed again. “ So bored! ” I called to the world, if anyone cared.

I walked silently, the calmness of the lands around relaxing me. Pink tinted tongue rested gently from my maw, touching my front teeth every second after the other. The warmness of the sun touched my orange tinted pelt beautifully, and I looked graceful and elegant. But, of course i wasn't anything of those. Large mitts carried my muscular frame easily, and I couldn't help but feel a need for my brother. We were always together. No matter what the situation was, he was there for me and I was there for him. However, I had a more gentle nature then he ; and sometimes that was for the best - trust me.

Tall auds flicked forward, the sounds of the world triggering my curiosity. The sound of a body of water rushing to the shore line, made my curiosity grow and my limbs began to travel toward the source of life. I moved slowly, the need for getting there quick not really important to me. My mug grew large and a yawn formed. As I yawned a soft growl was emitted from my maw and I shook my tiara back and forth gently.

"A nap sounds good to me,"

I said softly to myself. Light tinted voids watched my surroundings and I soon realized I had made it to the water. Halting, I glanced around. Nobody seemed to be around. Shaking my tiara again, I blinked before lowering my frame gently to the ground. Placing my maw softly on the tip of the waters edge, my tongue rolled from my kissers and lapped up the water easily. The cool water ran down my throat and it cooled me off slightly. Then, a sound of another caught my attention and I froze.

Auds pushed forward and frame became tense. Someone was around. Pushing my body up with my strong limbs, keen voids glanced around. Nostrils flared and the scent of a cub entered my nose. Grinning, I quickly disappeared into the brush again. I moved silently, no one could here me, nothing could see me. Light orbs watched everything intently, making sure nothing was unnoticed.

Just then, the sight of a black cub entered my eyes and I smirked. Just perfect. A cub all alone... This was going to be truly fun.. I made an apperance. My large frame pushed from the forest, and eyes became soft and gentle. Maw parted and words uttered from my maw sweetly,

"Don't tell me you're all alone,"

I had dosed off sense my call to the world, and the voice startled me. I jumped up and turned around, my tail flew around behind me and almost cause me to fall over. It was still heavy for my size, but I knew I would grow into it one day. I blinked a few times before my maw dropped open. A tiger, on a leopard island. I had heard rumors that tigers had been crossing over to out islands, but I never thought I would see one, and a male at that.

I lifted my head proud as the large brute stared at me. Yes, I was alone and scared, now that I saw him, but I was brave at heart. My green eyes took in the large beast and my ears made sure there were no other tigers around with him. When I was sure, and trully sure I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I shook my head and sighed, then looked back towards the tiger.

"What are you doing on these islands?" I moved my tail around, showing the cat the island that I had lived on sense I was born, which was only a year now. My eyes glared into his big ones and I gulped, but it made no sound and I was glad. I didn't want him to think I was a scared female. No! I was a proud male, but a scared one too.

"Awe, is that how your going to treat the new KING of the jungles,?"

Words melted from my maw and they were easily said. They were icy and cold, no emotion sweeping across my face. Fear was clearly what the cub was thinking, but he was hiding it very well. Voids swept monetarily over the black leopard before returning to his face. A sly smirk crossed my features and I moved forward. Oh this was my lucky day. A lone cub all alone with no mother in sight. Well, it didn't really matter if his mother was around or not, it wasn't like she could save him or anything. I was a tiger - the largest cats in the world and they were just mere leopards.

"Come now, tell me your name,"

I listened to his words, and watched his face. The brute seemed not to care about what his words just were. My green eyes seemed to begin to burn. These were the leopards islands. I opened my maw and began to speak. "You are no king." I spit the last word out, like it was a bad piece of meat, which this tiger before me was. My brown and black pelt shone all around me, and it looked quite heathly for the state I had been in for the past two weeks.

"These islands are the leopards, go back to your own, and kill your own kind!" I yelled at him. And as soon as I did, I knew I was in for it. But my eyes held no fear anyloner. I couldn't let this tiger take over what was my kind. My kin lived on these islands, and tigers had been on their own islands for a while now. Why could they just live there? This question made me think.....

"Pitty. I was going to spare you life, but now it looks as if we have a problem,"

I spat my words at the cub, anger rushing through my veins. How dare he talk to me like that?! Like he was actually worth something. He was a damn leopard! I could rip him to shreds if I so desired. A snarl was released from my vocals and I padded forward toward the puny leopard. Anger and frustration was held in my voids, and I'm pretty sure the cub could see too. I moved swiftly, paws barely touched the earth as I pressed forward. He was going to pay for such words.

I lifted my lips, showing the white teeth that were so deadly to other little things. My claws came out and dug into the ground and my tail swished back and forth. Yes, I was way smaller than the huge cat before me, but I knew I would fight well, until he killed me. No fear showed in my green eyes, for I knew if I died today I would see my mother. Then I had an idea.

I pulled my head higher and said, "Nope, I don't see a problem. Not unless you do, but if you do and you need to talk about it welllll..." I left the last word hanging as I turned and ran for it. My long body reached out and covered the earth as I sped away from the beach and towards a tree. I knew I would get there before the big cat would.
