I Must Let Go of the Past
My paws brushed through the undergrowth, carrying my spotted frame through the rather 'enchanting' rain forest of Komakai. My mouth still tasted the salt of the sea, and my pelt still carried the sand of the beach. My pelt was still drenched with the water of memories. My paws made prints in the green earth.
I lifted my tiara, my dagger dancing as I did so, and the old string doing nothing more but rubbing my nape lightly. I sighed with relief and sorrow, a very unusual combination. I was relieved that I was once more wild and free, but sorrow filled my sigh. Where did the sorrow come from? You might ask? Why would one be sorrowful? You see, I was orphaned when I was very young. When I was still wild and free as a bird. The humans killed my mother and father...I hate them. I'll always hate them...
I pushed my sorrowful thoughts of my parents aside and continued.
If I am to Have a Future

In A Twisted World
I turned my dial, then my frame, to the approaching fae. Another leopard. Another Leopard. Our history is all the same. The humans interfere with everything. Our lives, our parents, the way we live, our freedom. They think they rule the world. They don't...care. They'll learn. By the time that they do their species will be endangered, and our species as leopard will be GONE. As well as every other living thing on earth. No - Earth would no longer BE Earth. It would be the DEAD EARTH. I shook my head sadly.
"My Dubbance is Ashira."
Came my angelic vocals. My maw carried a soft smile, but my eyes and heart were guarded. My auds pricked carefully forward, listening for the fae's next words.

In a Twisted World
I nodded at the snow leopard, my glance remaining softly on the younger one. How hot she must be, Arya. She was a snow leopard, not one like me. I thingyed my head at the thought, and I was grateful that it was still morning. The mist enveloped Arya and me, hiding us from the forest and from the sky. My light golden pelt seemed ivory. Well, Arya's was already ivory. But mine was golden. My dagger stayed still as a rock, it's dull end touching my chest.
The dagger was not a weapon. It could never be a weapon. It was my mother's spirit. How could I use it to draw blood? I shivered and shook my tiara, breathing deeply.
"Come, let us not stay here, but go to Kashou instead."
I wanted to break free from the sorrowful memories that filled my mind. Perhaps a different island would sooth my memory. I pawedthe ground with my creamy, spotted paw, anxious to go.

In a Twisted Word
I smiled, nodding my tiara. My dark chocolate pools were still guarded, but their guard was letting down. I turned my spotted bodice to the east, flicking my white-tipped plume as I did so. The mist disappeared, lighting a path through the vines and foliage. I breathed the wet air, and took one, final look back at Arya. I lifted my maw and looked down on the younger one.
"Come, I'll show you to the waters."
Was what came through my maw. Indeed, I was older than the snowy one. I had lived five winters, and she had lived two. I was three winters older than her. My paws moved my body in a rhythm. Then hit the soft earth faster and faster. My dagger danced with much life around my neck, the wind pressing against my bulk and and hide. The vines brushed my light golden and ebon spotted fur. My paws carried me - Arya following quickly behind - to the west beach of Komakai.
I was flooded with sorrow as we reached it, and tried not to show it as I glanced at Kashou, not very far away. The sun was rising higher in the heavens, promising more heat as the day wore on. My pelt was already heating.
My paws sunk into the sand as I thought of plunging into the shallow water connecting the two islands. It would be nicer than I thought it would, for this time I would not be struggling. I would be swimming, relaxing, feeling the cool water touch my pelt and stroke it.
"Are you ready?"
I said, almost as a challenge to the snowy one.

In a Twisted World...
I nodded, a smirk replacing my smile upon my maw. Without any warning whatsoever, I moved my paws, carrying my ebon spotted build into the water. I lifted my tiara to keep it from the waves as I splashed under the sun. In the water, clouds of mud arose from my paws, where the resting sand had been disturbed.
White splashes and foam flew everywhere, my heart feeling light and lifted. My sorrows were washed away, and only the pleasantness of the water remained. My maw tasted the saltiness, but who cared, I felt like a cub agian...and in a good way. My tail flicked under the water, and I waited for the water to calm.
"Come on, Kashou is only an easy swim away."
With a powerful push of her hinds and a pull of her forelegs, I started swimming. I kept my tiara above the water for a bit, until we reached the reef.
"Wait - let's see the reef!"
Slowly, no - quickly , my guard was letting down. I smirked once more and dove down to see the fish. My breath held easily inside, and I watched in awe as I stopped in a upward position. The colors raced by me, my pools darting after each one of them.
One can Never be too Sure...

I shook my head smiling at the snowy one. Hmm....I've been calling the snow leopard "Snowy one" for quite some time. I think that the name fits the fae quite well. I had remained underwater, watching in awe, for quite some time. Finally, my chest began to gasp for air. I realized that Arya was already at the beach. But...at Komakai's beach. We needed to get to Kashou sometime today. Sighing and rolling my eyes, I paddled back to the beach. Coughing once.
I reached the beach, shaking drops of water of my pelt and making my fur stick together. I smiled as I was offered the fish, but pushed it away with my paw.
"You caught it. You have it. Besides, I hunted before I met you."
I said. The colors of the fish were dull, as a sign of death...at least to me. I turned my dial to gaze at Kashou.
"We should get to Kashou. It gets to be a desert here at sunhigh.

My spirits lifted, my maw holding a smirk. I dashed in the water after her, repeating everything we had done before. The clouds of mud arose, the splashes wet out bodices. I was very competitive, and swam very fast.
"Oh, I don't think so!"
I mewed as a challenge. I felt the fish swimming beneath my pads. I took a gasp for breath and went completely under. This enabled more speed. I knew she was right beside me, so I did not look back. The island of Kashou was approaching.
