v1 the start
The gods, mischievous nymphlike creatures, have, in order to more greatly amuse themselves, given certain horses of Nosra horns and others wings. Those not given either each gained a special power, although through copulation these spread. However, those with horns and wings tended to have weaker, less powerful gifts. Still, the kingdom of Nosra was at peace until the princess took power and named herself Tyrant Esseny.
Esseny, disliking those that were different, exiled those winged and horned beasts, calling them disfigured and unhealthy. A rift formed between the winged and the horned as well, each leaving to different areas. A kind king, Mist, took over the Dailook mountain ranges and ruled over the winged equine. The horned split up into larger harems, each ruled by a lord or a lady, and were mostly nomadic and solitary creatures. They dwelt in the forests of Taulvant. A pair of twins took up the title of Ladies of Taulvant, each an empress in her own right. Seascape and Windberry they were called.
This did not cause the goddesses (Verene, Malassy, and Cirrus) enough amusement, so they opened the gates of death, and all the denizens of Deante, the subjects of Terminusest, fled the land only to find theirselves locked out of their home. The ghosts of non-equine creatures proved to be quite peaceful and fiercely loyal, while those of equine creatures were malevolent and terribly powerful. Some spectors settled in to guard the horses, horned, and winged. The wolves, four of them, took to guarding Nosra from invaders and the Maleqii, or the evil horses. The four black panthers took to the forested area of Taulvant, keeping the Maleqii at bay. And a pair of griffins dutifully guarded the majestic mountains of Dailook.
The Maleqii spread destruction and death in the forms of strange injuries and deadly storms by use of their powerful magics. Soon, Nosra, Taulvant, and Dailook found themselves not only in a war with each other, but in a spectral war that could soon cause great destruction lest they bartered with Malassy, Verene, and Cirrus to re-open the Gates of Deante, so Terminusest could regather his subjects.
